I'm riding in Around the Bay 2021 to help kids in need!

Because 1 in 6 Australian kids are growing up in disadvantaged homes, where even the basics in life are hard to come by. But by supporting their education, they can break this cycle of disadvantage.

Your donation will give these kids the essentials they might otherwise miss out on like school books, bags, uniforms, shoes and the help they need to keep up at school. Its a great cause!

Plus, your support will give me great motivation to keep pedaling in training and on the big day!

Longest Ride: Sat 2nd / 53kms

ATB weekend has arrived - 53km ride

Chose Saturday for the BIG ride.  Williamstown (just in the 15km radius) was the destination and it didn't disappoint.  Always love the sparkling water and maritime activity along this ride.  Thanks to Alex again for joining the ride. Managed to get some more selfies for the Rowing Club Scavenger Hunt too... police tape, old time advertising signs and a plumbers' van.   That's ATB done and dusted for another year.  Really looking forward to a proper ATB next time... no more cancellations - PLEASE.

Week 5 - 62km

This week's highlight was the move to 15km radius!   Cycling buddy Alex joined me for a trip towards our western radius limit and then circled back home.  Snapped a few selfies for our Rowing Club Selfie Scavenger hunt on the way... a red door, an orange car, and an unsuccessful attempt to get a magpie!

Week 4 - 59km

Two hard 'n fast rides (along bike paths so not sooo faaasssttt) this week.  Pleased to get the radius increased to 10km for more ride variety.

Week 3 - just made the 50km

Doubled up on the Yarra loop from Richmond to Morrell Bridge on Saturday  ...   My cycling jersey reminds me why I'm doing this.

Week 2 - 54km added to the tally

2 medium length rides this week to do some chores plus my Saturday ride with my rowing buddy Alex.

Week 1 - 61km down

Managed to get out and about for a cruisy 26km (it will come through to my training tally tomorrow) this morning before the really nasty weather set in. 
Check out the fabulous creativity of my mate Belinda - reminding us of the 5km radius.  Keep COVID Safe everyone - I'm AZ double-vaxxed!

If the ride's cancelled I will .....

In case my sponsors are worried about cancellation, I am committed to riding 50 km a week in the lead up to the event.  I'll need to juggle this to fit in with the other activities and the COVID restrictions, so it won't be tooo easy.

35km in my 5km radius in under 2 hours
